ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀਤੋ ਜੀ (ਮਾਤਾ ਅਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ) ਨਾਲ ਪਿੰਡ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।

ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਪਿਛੋਕੜ

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਟਨਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਇਆ। ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਬਚਪਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਲਿਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀਤੋ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਭਾਈ ਰਾਮੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸੁਪੁਤ੍ਰੀ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਵਿਆਹ ਸੰਨ ੧੬੭੩ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਵਿਆਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੈ।

ਵਿਆਹ ਪੁਰਬ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਪੁਰਬ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਪੁਰਬ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪੁਰਬ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਅਵਸਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਰ-ਦੂਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੰਗਰ ਛਕਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਮਹੱਤਤਾ

ਇਸ ਵਿਆਹ ਪੁਰਬ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪੁਰਬ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ 'ਤੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਦਿਨ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਯਾਦ ਦਿਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰਮ, ਨਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਣਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਪੁਰਬ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ।

ਸਿੱਖਿਆ

ਇਸ ਪੁਰਬ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਚੱਲੀਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਪਣਾਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੀਏ। ਇਹ ਪੁਰਬ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਏਕਤਾ, ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਓ, ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰੀਏ।

Historical Background

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji was born at Sri Patna Sahib. In His early childhood, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji made the supreme sacrifice for the protection of dharma. Thereafter, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji established Anandpur Sahib as His center and propagated Sikhism. His marriage took place with Mata Jeeto Ji, who was the daughter of Bhai Ramu Ji. This marriage was solemnized in the year 1673. This sacred marriage holds a special place in Sikh history.

Arrangements of the Marriage Ceremony

The marriage of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji was arranged with great devotion and reverence. Bhai Ramu Ji, a devout Sikh of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, resided at Guru Ka Lahore, a village near Anandpur Sahib. His daughter, Mata Jeeto Ji, was known for her piety and noble character. The proposal for this sacred union was joyfully accepted by the Guru's family. The wedding preparations began with the blessings of the Sikh Sangat. The village of Guru Ka Lahore was beautifully decorated, and Sikhs from far and wide gathered to witness this auspicious occasion. The ceremony was conducted according to Sikh rites, with the singing of Gurbani kirtan and the recitation of sacred hymns. The marriage took place in 1673, when Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji was about seven years old. The event was marked by simplicity, humility, and spiritual fervor, reflecting the core tenets of Sikhism.

Significance in Sikh History

The marriage of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji to Mata Jeeto Ji is remembered as a pivotal moment in Sikh history. Mata Jeeto Ji, later known as Mata Ajit Kaur Ji, became the mother of Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji, who attained martyrdom at a tender age.
